I'm pissed and tired. I fell asleep at 12:00 only to wake up an almost 2 hours later to just toss and turn in bed until now. The 1% saving grace to this debacle is that now I'm able to reflect on what happened and it is slightly interesting.
The past couple of hours i went through what i call "Foot in the Door" syndrome. It's where I'm half asleep/awake, spending the night tossing and turning, self aware but a the same time "dreaming". Throughout the entire night i had this thought in my head about YouTube website and dealing with "anthropological" ideas? That's the best description i can think of. Two of my friends were involved in this half-dream and what was happening was that they had an "experiment" or were involved in what i can best describe a YouTube channel dealing with "Anthropological studies". I wasn't dreaming of watching YouTube videos, it was more as if my half-asleep mental awareness was embedded in the YouTube website environment. With my eye's open i could see my room and knew i was awake but when i would close my eyes i would see my environment as the website and i was exploring "counter-videos" to the ones my friends were watching, posting or just involved with. The reason why I'm using quotation marks on theses words is because they are just the best approximation of what i was experiencing. I wasn't watching videos, or in a video, it was more as if my world view, when i closed my eyes, was based on the working of the website. The difficulty I'm having now is trying to remember the "Videos" i was experiencing when i would close my eyes. They dealt with human/cultural evolution, neolithic time frame (?), perceived ideas (my friends) and different ideas (mine). I could easily dismiss it as my brain working with the ideas I'm having for my other project but i don't think that's the case. The "videos" last night didn't directly deal with ideas for that other project. Unfortunately i can't remember what the video's were about, will make sure i write them down next time or hopefully remember later. In the meantime I'm going for a walk and clear my head. Another point i wan to stress is that i have been sleeping like this before so it wasn't because of the melatonin/B6 i took. Hopefully later i can make better sense of what happened.

Intro to Dream Time
Since i have started getting motivated into a couple of projects, I've decided to include this one that involves delving deeper into my dreams. I've always wanted to explore in depth my dreaming, hopefully culminating in having lucid/vivid dreams and being able to affect my behaviour in the dream and maybe the dream itself. It can also help me in dealing with other altered states of consciousness which is something I'm always exploring, more on that later.
I'll be doing this with the help of natural herbal supplements which is why i decided to document this, make it somewhat scientific.
I know people tend to think of specific "grasses" when someone says "Natural herb" but those don't help me with dreaming because they interfere with my dream memory. The herbs I've decided on using are Melatonin and Vitamin B6. These two have been shown to improve dream recall and increase vividness of dreams.
The purpose of this blog will be to track my progress in being more aware in my dreams and any other surprises that may arise.
Hope everyone enjoys and comments always welcome.
Tonight's Dose:
15mg Melatonin
100mg B6
